In Pursuit of Eternity - From the City into the Wild

Eternity shapes the way I live my life. I try to live my life in light of spending eternity with God and that journey began when I was a teenager. Since then I have come to believe that every opportunity in life is seen as a way to experience God's unmerited favour.

I'm committing my blog to issues that I think relate to eternity and those issues are unlimited. They encompass all the issues addressed in the biblical record and in human experience.

And, I'm about to have a significant human experience. For the next three months I am preparing to go on a 10 day canoe trip in Northern Canada. We will be going near the The Missinaibi River [see blog for more details as they come]. This "Journey Into the Wild" is a big risk for me to take and one that I feel God is going to use to challenge me in my lifelong pursuit of eternity.

Over the next five months I'm going to write about three things. First, my preparation for this trip. Second, what my experience was like. And third, my reflection on my experience when I get back.

My "Journey Into the Wild" is both nerve racking and exciting. I hope you join with me on the Journey.
